What are the cooling devices for micro wire rope electric hoists?
The miniature wire-rope electric hoist is a lifting device used in construction, power maintenance, equipment installation, and other lifting applications. It relies on electric power as its energy source, offers a large lifting capacity, can operate for extended periods, and delivers high operational efficiency, making it a cost-effective choice among lifting equipment—all of which is made possible by the hoist’s internal cooling system.
Inside the miniature wire-rope electric hoist, there are two types of cooling systems: one is the motor’s internal cooling function. The windings of a pure-copper motor are made of high-conductivity, pure copper wire, which ensures stable performance and excellent heat dissipation, allowing the motor to operate continuously for extended periods.
One type is the cooling device located next to the motor: an 8-blade fan that spins rapidly at high temperatures to enhance air circulation inside the motor. The faster the fan spins, the higher the efficiency and the better the cooling performance. In addition, electric hoists with aluminum alloy housings are equipped with heat sinks, which also contribute to heat dissipation.
To prevent overheating and damage to the motor of a miniature wire-rope electric hoist when its cooling function fails, the conical ring on the fan brake wheel, under the influence of axial magnetic attraction, will reset together with the rotor, generating friction that automatically shuts down the motor.
