Can a miniature electric hoist be used in low-voltage environments?

In some large factories, when the demand for electrical equipment increases sharply while the power supply remains unchanged, voltage fluctuations can occur—sometimes even falling below the standard voltage. Under such unstable voltage conditions, will this affect the lifting and transportation operations of small electric hoists?

In fact, as long as an electric hoist can perform lifting and lowering operations and functions normally, it will not adversely affect lifting operations.
However, from the perspective of the electric hoist’s internal structure and components, such conditions can have a significant impact: when the power supply becomes unstable, the magnetic field of the contactor weakens, substantially reducing the reliability of its engagement. This, in turn, can cause the contactor to vibrate continuously, leading to intermittent circuit interruptions over time and eventual burnout of the contact points.
If the contact points are burned out, it will directly affect the operation of the electric motor, resulting in the load being unable to move or the operator losing control, which can lead to uncontrolled lifting accidents.
Therefore, factories that have long experienced voltage instability need to adjust the number of turns in the contactor coil—specifically, by reducing it appropriately—to effectively lower the failure rate of miniature electric hoists. However, this is only a temporary measure; the fundamental solution remains ensuring stable power supply voltage.

Applications and Advantages of Double-Chain Electric Hoists

While at work, we often encounter various types of hoists, each with its own specific functions; the double-hook electric hoist is one such example. An electric hoist is a lifting device powered by an electric motor, primarily used for handling and lifting large materials. It enhances operational efficiency, reduces workers’ physical strain, and ensures precise material handling. In addition, the double-hook electric hoist features fully automatic control and safety devices, enabling it to meet the demands of diverse working environments while maintaining safety and reliability.
